NTSC-J Store Exclusives:
As well as limited edition games, in Japan, online buyers and pre-order purchasers were also able to receive further bonus goodies directly from stores, many of which were only made available in very limited quantities
Within Tokyo's Akihabara district (THE mecca of all things video game related), stores like Messe Sanoh, Sofmap, Laox and Gamers frequently gave out such bonuses as prizes or rewards to store event participants, often as part of in-store game launches
The Sega online store 'Dreamcast Direct' (which from 2002 became 'SEGA Direct') exclusively distributed even more collectable items, many of which are now highly sought after by Dreamcast collectors
